Red Mountain 50K, 30K & Dirty Hurty Half Marathon Race Description

 USATF Sanctioned

We are excited to announce a new course for the 2016 Red Mountain 50k, 30k, and Dirty Hurty Half Marathon trail races.  

The course incorporates the scenic dirt trails of the Santa Clara Reserve located in the west central portion of Washington County, directly southwest of the communities of Ivins and Santa Clara and east of the Shivwits Indian Reservation.  The races course starts on Gate’s Lane Bridge across for the historic Jacob Hamblin home and quickly turns onto a BLM service road and climbs up to the single track tails in the Santa Clara Reserve.  The course winds in clover fashion back into the Cove Wash Trail-head Aid Station 4 times before heading to the finish at Unity Park, Ivins, UT. See course page for more detail.

pleasure

I enjoy this trial run, after running it last year, for the first time, I knew I had to come back again. It is a tough run, but so rewarding when I cross the finish line. I will be back again. It is well marked, well organized, and a blast , if you are a trail runner. I travel a little over 10 hours from the bottom of Arizona to do this run.
